During the school year, seven students from grades 7 to 10 participated in the Explore Genealogy and History program organized by the Saint-Hyacinthe History Centre. In addition to attending workshops on genealogy and its tools, they took part in various history-related activities, such as a visit to the archives, games about history and the arts in Saint-Hyacinthe, and a workshop on murders and mysteries in the MRC (Regional County Municipality). The extracurricular activity culminated on Thursday, March 26, with five participants presenting " Casavant Showcases ," where some of their discoveries and activities were showcased at Casavant High School. The students conducted research in the genealogy room for several weeks and, on February 4, visited Villa Casavant with its owner, François Dupuy.
